River Conference Attracts Regional Leaders
The Heart of Illinois Regional Port District is pleased to announce that the Upper Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri Rivers Association will hold its 2010 Conference in its District, on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at the Par* A*Dice Hotel in East Peoria.

When: February 16, 2010. Registration begins at 7:30a.m. Two conference sessions: 8:00am and 1:00 p.m.; UMIMRA membership Meeting at 3:30 p.m.
Why: Nearly 200 community leaders from business and industry, levee and drainage districts, agriculture and governments meet to share a comprehensive update on river issues.
The Illinois Waterway which flows through our Region is an integral part of the Nation’s critical infrastructure. It is not only an efficient means of transportation for commerce, but also an important natural treasure, enjoyed as recreation, and deserving of environmental preservation. UMIMRA is a strategic alliance of public and private interests playing an increasingly important role in balancing those intricate relationships.
